I Am Amazing
10/26/09 12:42 pmNever got around to trying one rep of 90 sec jogging, 90 sec walking, 3 min jogging, 3 min walking over the weekend, so I did it today.
I am PROUD to report that I was able to do not just one, but both reps during my workout today! I did the 90 sec jogs at 3.2 mph, all the walks at 2.7 mph, and the 3 min jogs at 3 mph. Then I had 2 min left over after doing those, so I jogged at 3.2 mph for 1 min and walked at 2.7 mph for the last min. Then 5 min cool down.
I am truly, genuinely astounded that I didn't fall over dead after the first 3 min jog. I never would have thought I could move faster than a walk for 3 solid minutes, and at a pretty challenging (for me) pace.
Just goes to show that your body will respond if you train it slowly but still ask it to perform.
