This week I just repeated last week (90 sec jog/walk, then 3 min jog/walk, repeat) on Monday and Tuesday, but yesterday I decided to at least attempt the next week's regimen (3 min jog, 90 sec walk, 5 min jog, 2.5 min walk, 3 min jog, 90 sec walk, 5 min jog).

Couldn't quite do it. I ended up doing a modified version: 3 min jog, 90 sec walk, 4 min jog, 2.5 min walk, 3 min jog, 2.5 min walk, 3 min jog. That's 13 min of jogging, 7 min walking, and 10 min warmup/cooldown (5 mins at each end). 1.4 miles. I'm going to stick with this all this coming week, and add a 30 min walk on the off days at 3 mph. Might even break out the old cross training programs.

So last week I did 4.16 miles. I'm jogging 4 min at 3.2 mph and not dying, and I'm walking comfortably at 2.8 mph, and can push to 3 mph without too much trouble. I can jog shorter periods at 3.5 mph.

My goal is to be walking at 3 mph and jogging at 4 with no trouble. We'll see how long it takes to get there.
