I got this for myself

It's a treadmill with a built-in personal trainer that does cross training (weights) as well as walking at different inclines and speeds. It's got 12 built-in weight training routines and 12 classic aerobic workouts, which are just walking and no weights. I've been doing the walking/cross training program now for a week, and it's going well.
I decided to get a treadmill after one of my wobbler friends suggested one as helpful with oscillopsia. I've also been wanting one, because I've gotten really hesitant about walking our neighborhood -- loose dogs, drivers not giving the pedestrian with the cane room, sidewalks have gotten really bad, crumbling and what not -- and the high school track has gotten problematic. If I want an uninterrupted, hassle free walk I have to go at 5 in the morning -- if I go in the evening or late at night there are always kids there, and they mess with my water bottle and cane, which I leave on the stadium seats. You'd think people would leave other people's stuff alone, but no, I've had to holler at some young hoodlums who were getting ready to make off with my cane.
Then there's the kids on bikes, riding around the track, on the sidewalks, in the street, and they expect me to jump out of their way.
So I'd quit walking pretty much, and as a result I've gained about 40 lbs. Hence my treadmill. So far I've been doing the first monthly challenge 3 times a week, and I can now walk for 30 min straight at 2.7 mph without feeling like I'm going to die, and can actually jog at 3.1 mph on a 3% incline for 5 minutes straight! The built-in training program has you walk at varying speeds and inclines for 5 min, then you do 12 weight training reps, for a total workout of about 35 min. The workouts are changed up, and if you do just a straight walking workout you can have it count toward your total stats. It keeps track of how long you've worked out, how many calories you've burned, how far you've walked, and how many reps you've done.
I weighed myself today for the first time since I started the workouts, and so far I've lost 6 lbs in 3 weeks! I started at 272.5 and today I weighed 266.4 -- yay me! I'll be happy if I can lose down to my alltime low of 224 again. That would be sweet.
