wobblerlorri | Closing on new house NEXT THURSDAY!!

I've actually known for about a week, but it's just now that it seems real. I guess I was waiting to see if our house would appraise out, just superstitious I guess.

We went yesterday with the builder to pick out our appliances -- stove, dishwasher and refrigerator are all black and for ONCE I'm color-coordinated in my kitchen! Smooth cooktop on the stove, chilled water through the door of the fridge, and a working icemaker in the freezer! Top freezer, to me there's just no darn room in a side by side.

AND... I've bought a semi-antique Persian carpet for the living room. The living room, dining room and kitchen all have real hardwood floors, so I got my rug. It's an Isfahan, 120 knots per square inch, hand knotted, made in the 1960's, and it's just wonderful. Got it off eBay, too... spent as much for it as I would have spent on a modern machine made heat fused piece o' crap. Yes, I researched oriental rugs, asked many questions, and picked this one.
