wobblerlorriGot my letter back from Social (In)Security saying they've denied my claim for disability because in their hog-fucking opinion I can work just fine. Obviously to their tiny minds my inability to: stand or walk for more than 20 minutes, carry more than a couple of pounds, do any sort of activity for more than an hour at a time unless I follow up with a 2 hour nap, concentrate on anything more complicated than a 2 piece jigsaw puzzle, drive at all, or sit in front of a computer for more than 30 minutes daily means nothing to them. THEY say that my bilateral vestibulopathy “is not severe enough to keep (me) from working", and that I am “able to do my past work, as it is usually done in similar jobs.”
Yeah, who out there needs a microbiologist with a B.Sci. who can't stand up or sit long enough to complete a project? How about a network admin who can't sit in front of a computer for more than 20 min, and sure as hell can't go anywhere fast when a network crisis occurs? I can stagger around and fall over things really easy though.
HELL YES I'm appealing this dogshit solution. I'm eligible for about $1200 a month in disability, and by Daddy God and Sonny Christ I'm going to get it. I'm gonna get me the most high-powered shyster I can find to lawyer this up.
Fuck the government. It's MY money, I paid it in, and now I WANT IT BACK. God knows I won't see it when I'm 65, because according to them I can't retire at full benefits until I'm fucking SEVENTY YEARS OLD. It won't even be around then.
