I tried 3.7 mph, but that was just too much, so for now I'm sticking with 3.5 mph. Strapped both knees up, and did really well. Also, because of [livejournal.com profile] killthecamera's post here, I decided to pay attention to where I'm striking when I "run", if you want to call 3.5 mph running. (I do!!)

Seems I naturally strike midfoot, roll to the toes, then push off. I don't heel strike unless I'm walking. So that's all good.

At any rate, used up most of my juice doing the first 90 sec and 3 min runs at 3.7, so did 3.5 on the second interval. Actually had to break the last 3 min in half, spaced with a 5 min walk at 3.0 because I was that tired. Got off the treadmill, took a nice cool shower, asked the hubby to do the catsand because I was completely used up, and sat down at the 'puter. When I go to bed I'll get the ice out, because it was all I could do to shower and dry off. I should know by now, go sit and finish cooling down, then go shower. When I don't, I'm always running on empty when I get out of the shower...

I'm tempted to repeat W3 again, but I think that's 99% worried about that 5 min run in W4. 2 days of rest coming up, then Wednesday I'll give W4 a try. We must continue to push forward, challenge ourselves, don't rest upon our laurels...

On another note, I've ordered these knee braces for running in. Until I lose more weight or my legs get much stronger, I'll probably continue to have trouble with my knees, and I wanted some strong, genuine support for the poor things. They should be here Tuesday or Wednesday, so my first run of W4 will be while sporting these guys.
