A bullet dodged

Got Li'l Lisa back just now, and guess what? Yep, she was pregnant again... I guess when we took the kittens away and she dried up, she came in season and Champ was right there. She was only a couple of weeks along, so the spay shouldn't have been too difficult on her. I'm glad she wasn't further along, that would have squicked me out a little bit, but we still would have had her spayed -- no point bringing another litter into the world and not being absolutely sure we could find them homes. Finding homes for the other kittens was just a fortuitous combination of events -- asking the fates for such a situation again would have been being greedy.
So she's in the trap still, has food and water, and is safely tucked into the big shelter we have outside in case it rains (it's overcast). In a little while we'll let her out, once she realizes she's back home and safe. She's probably going to regress some, and not let us near her, but that's okay -- she's not making babies anymore!
