Guess who's ready for transport???

Patrick and I went to visit him yesterday, bearing a towel we'd been using for a week so he could have a smell thing of ours, and he was just wonderful. He's a bit of a shy boy, but after about an hour or so he was roaming around with his tail up, had a crunch or two, groomed a bit, and discussed the situation. I had to enter his zone of comfort, and we had a nice tummy rub in his cube, and I did a little gentle stroking of his ears and head. He expressed his appreciation by grabbing my hand gently and gently licking and nibbling my fingers.
He was assured enough by the time we left (we spent 2 1/2 hours just drinking him in) that he was beginning to play a bit. He is sooooo beautiful and elegant!
I got home and immediately filled out all my paperwork, and we'll go get him next weekend! Have to wait til then so that my son can take me -- Mike loves the cats, but he has problems with cat commentary in a vehicle during a 1 hour drive! Every time we moved, I was the official Cat Transport because I just talk back to them.
That will be okay, though, it will give him a little more time to settle. He's been through a lot in the past few weeks, and I think if he's more comfortable with Jo, his foster, he'll be more comfortable here, too. He's sleeping on the towel, and so he'll be familiar with our scents here at home when he gets here.
That said, I wish it was Friday, and not Monday!!!!!
