Stupid GERD part the second
Okay, called the doctor yesterday and explained the possible aspiration issue, and she called me in clindamycin, 300 mg. I take one 4 times a day. I've taken 2 just now, as a loading dose, and I'll take 2 more when I go to bed. Then I'll do the regular dosage tomorrow until they run out, I think there's 10 days worth there.
I've also ordered this pillow -- I chose it because it has the recommended slant (7") and is also extra wide and extra long (24" x 24") so I can still sleep on my left side and not slide off and choke myself. I'll have to make some covers for it, I think I'll use flannel so I won't be as likely to slide off.
I thought yesterday it was cleared up, but by the evening I was wet coughing again, and today has been a virtual PhlegmFest of nasty wet coughs and wheezlings and whoazlings. From what I've read, aspiration pneumonia can be one of the nastier ones. So hopefully the clindamycin will knock out any possible infection that could arise.
