Frivolous cat post
7/15/10 12:14 pmAnd now it's time for an update on Beau and his integration into the family as well as his progress in bonding with me.
For the past two months or so he's been consistently sleeping with me, usually behind my knees, but the last couple of weeks he's discovered the Arm Cradle, where Brownie slept. He'll leap up onto the bed, then slither across my hip and curl in a ball in the crook of my arm.
The other night I woke up and he had his ol' coffin head pillowed on my cheek!
And purr! When he gets in his Arm Cradle, he purrs nonstop. He's also started to come and get in my lap when I'm on the couch, and take extended naps, no more of this hop up for about 5 or 10 min then get down and sleep somewhere else! Oh no!
Finally, tonight his First Song was composed. All the cats have their own songs, with their names and something personal about them in it, but poor Beau has just had his name repeated over and over. But tonight, his Song sprang from my lips full-grown, much like Athena from Zeus' brow...

And in semi-feral trap/spay/release news, we got a humane trap from Haralson Co. Animal Control and last night managed to trap Li'l Lisa, who is now safely ensconced at West GA Spay/Neuter, and may even be spayed now as we speak. We'll get her home tomorrow, and she will hate us for a couple of days, then be back to being our tortitudinal little outdoor mean ol' mama cat, but we won't have to deal with KITTENS again!!!
