ETA: called the doc and she isn't back (won't be back til July 1) but I do have an appt with her locum on Friday at 9 am. Not great, but guess it'll do.

Well damn. Ever since the kidney stone incident of January, I've occasionally had blood in my urine, but it would clear up. I had a UTI about a month ago, but the doc called in some Cipro for me and I took that, cleared up.

This last week has been worrying. Seems every time I do anything remotely physical, I have major major hematuria. I mean like bright red blood, so much it looks like a murder scene in the toilet. Friday I was out re-staking tomatoes and tying them, took about an hour. Now that doesn't really rate on anyone's radar as strenuous, all you're doing is pulling up a short little bamboo stake, putting a taller stake in there with a couple of mallet blows, then sitting on a gardening bench and tying the plant to the new stake. The only reason you break a sweat is because it's 90 degrees out and you're in the sun.

Came in from doing this for an hour, took a piss, and hello hematuria. Felt a little achey in my back too, but nothing major. The rest of day was Blood Pee day, but by Saturday it had cleared up.

Sunday went out and picked beans, again not overly strenuous, just bending. Sure enough, came in and blood pee was back. Cleared up pretty quick though, by evening it was normal again.

Yesterday I was out pruning and tying tomatoes, and yep, blood pee returned with a vengeance. So much blood in the pee that when I wiped the paper was stained pink. Had blood pee all day yesterday, along with that dull horrible ache in the kidney area and occasional aches deep in my abdomen. The achiness even woke me up at 4 am and I had to go take a diclofenac in order to get back to sleep.

This morning had horrible rusty guck masquerading as pee, and wipage looked like I had plastered cocoa on my cooze. I'm going to call the doctor to see if she's back from downloading her most recent crotchfruit -- I really don't want to have to deal with her locum.

Fuck fuck fuckety fuck.

You know how sometimes people on your friends list post about stuff going on in their lives, and all of a sudden you think, "Wait a minute? Since when are they working THERE? Since when are they dating HIM/HER? since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.
