Good News on the SSD Front?
6/6/08 11:22 pmToday I got a call from the Carrollton (GA) SS office, to set up an appointment to come in and get my SSI started (for the non-disabled or non-US folks, you can get Supplemental Security Income separate from Social Security Disability income). The guy who called told me that I had been approved, and that they had been told to set me up.
I doubt I'll get it, we have too much in resources (no more than $3000 for a married couple). But it's an indication that the judge did decide in my favor, so hopefully I won't have to wait too long before I get set up for the disability payment and Medicare. I called my attorney to make sure this was on the up and up, and they told me that apparently the judge's decision was in the pipeline, they just hadn't gotten the written decision out yet.
I swear, when the written decision comes, I'm going to frame that bastard.
We go next Wednesday to apply. So there it is. Anyone want to hazard a guess if this is good or means nothing?
