Damn peroneus muscle

Ever since my WLS, I've had an odd tendency for the peroneus muscle in my left leg (a muscle lying deep in the outside of your leg, positioned roughly half way between the front and back of the leg) to cramp up for no reason at all. Literally. I can just be sitting around, then all of a sudden my toes will begin to curl or flex upwards, my foot will begin to pull to the outside (the fancy word is eversion), and then BANG!! there goes a full blown cramp.
From what I've read on the internet (which makes doctors and diagnosticians of us all), I may have either peroneal neuropathy, probably from the diabetes, or a type of peroneal compartment syndrome. Either way, it's a fucker. I haven't been able to explain it well enough for a doctor to be able to deal with it.
I don't really know if it was something directly related to the WLS that caused it, like pressure from being bedbound for so long, or if it's a sequela to the peripheral neuropathy I have in both feet from being an idiot about the diabetes way back before I was diagnosed. All I know is it's a major pain in the ass, or leg.
Usually I can forestall a major cramp by rotating my left foot around, contracting my toes if they're flexing up or flexing them if they're curling down, or getting up and walking it off. Last night though was a monster. I could barely stand on it, and walking was almost out of the question. Once the main event was over, I rubbed the muscle to try to prevent soreness, and called it good. I was still having small contractures, but nothing major.
Only trouble is, those small contractures (really attempts by the damn thing to cramp up again) continued all night long. Literally. All. Fucking. Night. Long. I would just start to fall asleep, then twitch twitch, jerk, jump, here it comes again. Finally I got up at 6 am and took a methocarbamol and a codeine, which made it so the muscle would relax and I could go to sleep.
Woke up at noon, leg is sore, and I'm not a happy camper. I have got to get a doctor to figure out what's going on, and either get it fixed or figure out how to deal with it. I have gotten relief from a TENS unit, so I've ordered some new butterfly electrodes so I can hook that up to it. I'll electrocute the bastard into submission!
Fuck me, but I'm a walking train wreck.
